We have various ways to serve at Hope East Queens such as our worship team, tots and children's ministry, setup/breakdown, and Sunday connections team. We generally like to create rotations in all of our volunteer opportunities to encourage people to serve at a healthy pace and not burn out. We are so grateful for our volunteers and strive to create an ongoing atmosphere of appreciation!

1. WORSHIP TEAM

Our worship team meets on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am for prayer and practice. We believe worship is the act of presenting our hearts to God and our time in worship together transcends beyond the music. If you play an instrument, sing, or want to help with our slides, this is a great way to connect with others that share the same passion as well as an opportunity to serve the Lord using your giftings! Contact (James Kim): tcxkim96@gmail.com

2. Tots, KIDs & youth Ministry

Our tots, kids, and youth are dismissed to their respective classrooms right after our morning worship/song time (around 10:50 am). We try to come alongside parents by providing engaging environments for their children on Sundays. Our tots, kids, and youth volunteers help out once a month so that they can attend the rest of the service on days they are not serving. If you enjoy working with kids or youth, we would love to have you come on board our team! Contact (Rose Berberabe): rose@hopechurchnyc.org

3. SETUP/breakdown

Every Sunday, we get the facility ready for our worship. This means unloading and setting up our worship equipment, putting up signs, getting the nursery/tots/children's classrooms prepared, and even making coffee and putting out snacks. We are always in need of volunteers to help with our setup and breakdown. We would love for your help! Contact (Luis Diaz): luis_diaz11837@yahoo.com

4. sunday connections team

Our Sunday connections team is made up of our greeters and ushers. They generally service twice a month and are the first faces people see when they walk through our doors. If you are looking for a simple way to serve and connect with a team, this may be a good opportunity! Contact (Brian Choi): bjc04676@gmail.com

“Why did Jesus wash his disciples feet? If he was only trying to teach them a final lesson about serving, he could’ve just simply told them so. It’s not just that Jesus told us to serve, but he is, in fact, the ultimate servant, who sacrifices himself on that cross for us. The reason we serve is not just to be obedient Christians, but it’s also because when we serve, we point towards the ultimate servant.”
