We love our youth and strongly believe in investing in them! Hope Youth ranges from 6th grade until 12th grade. Our core vision is that they would experience the following through our community:

We want to foster a community of young people that are consciously and consistently engaging with God on a personal level, day and night. (Colossians3:1-2; Deuteronomy 4:29; Matthew 6:33; Matthew7:7-8; Hebrews 11:6; Psalm 105:4; Lamentations 3:25)

We want young people to to understand that following Jesus is a life of complete surrender of one’s life; heart, mind, soul, and strength. Our desire is that they learn to honor God with every aspect of their lives. (Luke 10:27; James 4:7; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Galatians 2:20; Luke 9:23; Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 16:24-25)

We desire that young people continually pray, seek, and grow in understanding about who God is, who God has made them to be, and what their God-given purpose is in life.(Colossians 1:9-14; Ephesians 1:17-19; 2 Peter 3:18; Colossians 4:6; Proverbs 4:7; 1 Corinthians 2:12)

Our desire is that young people will constantly be thinking about how to invest in the lives of the people around them with the love, blessing, and understanding that they have been given. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 12:30-31; Acts 2:42; John 13:35; Proverbs 27:17; 1 Peter 2:9-10; Acts 20:24)

We encourage our youth to get involved through the following methods:

1. Sunday Bible study

Our youth group meets on Sundays during our 10:30 am service for Bible study where we facilitate a time of openness, dialogue, authenticity, laughter and sharing. We want our youth to have proper knowledge of the Word, but also to take full ownership of their faith using their own process and thoughts to be best prepared for this world as a believer.

Every third Friday of the month, we hold a time of small group, prayer, and fellowship at our church office in Bayside, NY. We make sure multiple volunteers are present to help disciple them.

3. Youth RETREAT

Once a year in February (during the school winter break), we have an annual youth retreat where we get away for 3-4 days to hold a deep time of reflection, fellowship, and prayer. This is a great opportunity for our students to hear the word of God as well as to develop close Christian friendships that will last.

4. Fellowship EVENTS

We want to ensure that the time we have with our youth is memorable for them. Thus, we have fellowship events all throughout the year so that they could build fond memories and bonds. We believe in the necessity of the community of God in cultivating one’s Christian walk, and thus holding these events is a great way to build such a community with our youth.

*We have a school safety official with us at all times on Sundays to ensure that your children are well protected. Also, all of our volunteers undergo mandatory background checks prior to serving.

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
